Stay Connected to the Wild

Raw, Rugged, and Real—Just How I Like It.

I’m just a guy who loves the outdoors, gear, and filling the freezer. I’m not a purist—I still hit up McDonald's now and then—but I’ve got a deep, unshakable passion for the wild (I’m sick with it), and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m also a man of faith. I believe in God, and I try to live my life in a way that reflects that—imperfectly, but honestly.

I’m not here to sell you a subscription, push an agenda, or pretend I’ve got all the answers. I just want to give you honest, unfiltered content that helps you make better decisions in the backcountry and in life.

I’m a 14-year military veteran. I served in the Marine Corps as a POG (Person Other than Grunt) and later in the Air Force as a Maintenance Data Analyst. Eventually, I left when I realized the military had changed—it was no longer the mission-focused institution I signed up for. The rise of forced ideological training, being told I was inherently racist because of my skin color, and being coerced into taking a COVID vaccine I didn’t want—those were my lines in the sand. The woke agenda had crept in, and it no longer felt like the country I had agreed to serve.

Now, I bring that same no-nonsense mindset to the outdoors.

Through honest gear reviews, field-tested advice, and raw outdoor content, I’m here to help you become a more confident, capable backcountry adventurer. Whether you’re chasing mule deer in the high country, dialing in your kit for an elk hunt, or just getting out for a hike—I’ll show you what works, what doesn’t, and everything in between.

No fluff. No ego. No bull.
Just straight-up experience from a life lived outdoors.

My mission is to create content that people can enjoy and learn from. Follow me on Youtube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Into gear? Check out my gear reviews!

I’ve spent years testing gear in the field—burning through more products (and money) than I care to admit. Now, I’m here to help you make informed decisions about the gear you're considering—so you don’t have to waste time or cash on stuff that doesn’t work.

Whether it's backpacks, optics, tents, or boots, I put gear to the test in real-world conditions, so you know what’s worth your hard-earned money.

Creating authentic, no-fluff outdoor gear reviews takes time, money, and a ton of real-world testing. I buy the gear myself, take it into the field, and report back with honest insights—without sponsorship strings attached.

I’m always up for exploring new places—whether it’s rugged backcountry, hidden campsites, or off-the-beaten-path trails.

Got a trip coming up? Or know a spot worth checking out? Drop it in the comments—I’m always looking for new wild places to explore and share.
