Why Support My Cause

Creating honest, real-world outdoor gear reviews isn’t cheap—and it’s not a big money-maker either. Most of what I’ve done so far has been self-funded. I buy the gear out of pocket, use it in the field, and often resell what I don’t keep just to cover the cost of the next round. When you factor in time, travel, editing, and equipment, I’ve invested far more into this than I’ve ever made.

That’s because this project isn’t driven by profit—it’s driven by passion and purpose.

I’m committed to giving you trustworthy, no-fluff reviews without pressure from sponsors. I don’t get paid by companies to review their gear. I do have a few affiliate links and brand partnerships, but only with companies I genuinely trust and personally use. If I wouldn’t buy it myself, I won’t recommend it to you.

I also believe that these reviews should remain free for everyone. No paywalls. No premium memberships. Just honest, field-tested gear insights available to anyone who needs them.

  • No. I do not accept payments from companies to review their gear. If a product appears in a review, it’s either something I bought myself or was sent with no strings attached. I never guarantee a positive review in exchange for gear.

  • Yes, but only a small amount. If you click one of my affiliate links and buy something, I may earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you. I only promote products and brands I genuinely use and trust.

  • Most of my reviews are self-funded, and the costs add up quickly—from buying gear to camera equipment, software, and travel for field testing. Donations help me stay independent, keep content free, and focus more time on creating honest reviews.

  • No. I believe that trustworthy, unbiased gear reviews should be accessible to everyone. I have no plans to introduce paywalls, subscriptions, or exclusive paid content.

  • At this time, donations are not tax-deductible. I’m an independent content creator, not a registered nonprofit. If that ever changes, I’ll update this page.
