The binoculars are fully functional optically, but the eyecups do not twist up or down smoothly unless the rubber is lightly pinched while adjusting. This may be something that needs to be sent in to Vortex for service.
I simply don’t want to deal with sending them in, so they are priced accordingly to reflect this minor issue.
Vortex is well known for their VIP Warranty, so this may be a straightforward fix for someone willing to handle the process.
